Giinagay-Welcome to St Mary's Primary School

St Mary’s Primary School,  Bowraville, is a caring and vibrant Catholic community where every student and family is valued, included and respected. We currently educate 58 children K-6 from across the Nambucca Valley.

For over a hundred years, our school has provided a wonderful learning environment where students feel safe, secure and cared for. The school works closely with our local Gumbayngiirr community, creating connections with language, country and culture for our students.

Through our school Motto ‘Let Your Light Shine,' we seek to inspire our students with a passion for learning, life and service to others. As a Catholic School Community, we aim to accompany families so that our students can recognise the gifts they each have and share these gifts with others so they can each live their unique life with joy.

Acknowledgment of Country

We acknowledge the Gumbayngirr people, the traditional custodians of the lands on which our College resides. We pay our respects to their elders past, present and emerging, for they hold the memories, the traditions, and culture of the Gumbayngirr peoples.
